CAMBRIDGE / UNDERSTANDING PATIENT EXPERIENCES
Every story.
Needs its context.
Learn how to interpret photographs, patient accounts and progress information without treating another person's result as a prediction.
Progress deserves
proper context.
Patient outcomes should be assessed with consistent photographs, treatment details and follow-up information. Individual results vary and one person’s experience cannot predict another’s.
The portraits on this website are illustrative stock photographs. They are not before-and-after images or endorsements by patients.
YOUR CARE / 01
Read photographs with care
Compare lighting, angle, hair length and styling before drawing conclusions from photographs. Ask when each image was taken, what treatment was provided and whether other treatments were used alongside it.
YOUR CARE / 02
Look beyond the headline result
A useful patient account includes the starting concern, treatment plan, recovery experience and follow-up. The most striking photograph may not show the full course of care or the experience of every patient.
YOUR CARE / 03
Make space for your own goals
Another person’s story can suggest useful questions, but it cannot establish your suitability. Bring your own priorities to an assessment and ask what the limitations would be in your circumstances.
